Chemists use water at work within their various experiments. Water can be used to break things down. For example, if it gets into hard things and turns to ice, it will be strong enough to break it. Water can also be used to cool things. If the water is cool, you can put it on things that are hot to cool it down Water can be used to heat things up. Similar to how it is used to cool things, you can pour hot water on something, it can heat it up. Water can also be used as a constant. Without water, chemists would find it very difficult to do their experiments at work.

Seahorses are really cool creatures. One way seahorses use water for is to live. Seahorses live in water and without it, they wouldn't be alive. Seahorses aren't very good swimmers. This is because they rely on their dorsal fin to move them. They let the water flow move them around. Sometimes, if the water flow is too strong, then the seahorse can die from all the exhaustion. This shows how water can sometimes be a bad thing for seahorses. Almost their whole life is spent on resting and eating in the water. The father seahorse is the seahorse to carry the eggs in the ocean. A seahorse's eyes move independently from each other. A life-span for a seahorse is 4-6 years. These facts show how seahorses use water. How humans and seahorses use and need water.
Mrs. Gruener Tips
1. Write at least on paragraph of what happened in your Mars simulation. 1. Our Mars Simulation was really fun. At the beginning, we read a book telling us about our world if there were only 100 people in it. After that we had to pick persona names for ourselves, pick which country we are from, and choose which jobs each of us were going to have to do on Mars. We went on Google Mars and picked the place we were going to land and if it was a good place or not. We named our colony The United Kingdom of Coconuttia because we are all from different countries, and Mars on Google Mars looks like a coconut. We read through a Mars book and listed all of the problems that we have on listed them down. We matched each problem or two with a person who's job could fix it. We made small groups of people with similar problems to us and worked together to solve them. We looked through the solutions as a class. We decided what to do when we landed on Mars, and decided how our government was going to run. (We chose to run or government like the U.S. does). We got in groups, (there were three groups, on for each branch in our government) and wrote our Constitution. After that, we wrote our Bill of Rights, and failed because we decided to own guns if we had permission to. If we fired the gun, then it would create a spark inside, which caused to explode our dome because of the oxygen in our artificial atmosphere. It was a really fun simulation though.
I was doing PARCC testing during this period.
